Building Supervision

Communications
Our ORacle newsletter and ORbits e-newsletter staff includes proofreaders, writers, artists and photographers. Our Web site staff includes web page editors (we will train you!) content writers, digital artists and photographers. If you are interested in helping out, click here to contact us
Events
We coordinate holiday celebrations, as well as maintain a schedule of member Oneg Shabbat responsibilities. We also coordinate High Holy Days events and activities. If you are interested in helping out, click here to contact us
Finance
We coordinate our Temple finances, specifically; auditing accounts, entering data, and creating reports . If you are interested in helping out, click here to contact us
Fundraising
We coordinate our Temple Scrip program, maintaining scrip records, and mailing and receiving scrip orders. We also organize or assist with other fundraising efforts. If you are interested in helping out, click here to contact us.
Governing Board
Each year, interested members are elected to Temple leadership positions, specifically as President, Secretary, Financial Officer, Membership Vice-President, Programming Vice-President and Financial Vice-President. If you are interested in joining our Board, click here to contact us

Library

Mah Jongg
Temple members and friends play Mah Jongg twice each week. If you are interested in playing or hosting a game, click here to contact us.
Membership
We promote Temple Beth Or membership, receive and welcome new members, and conduct membership appreciation events. We also maintain our member database and director. If you are interested in helping out, click here to contact us.
Mitzvah Corps
We help out sick or bereaved member families; coordinate meal deliveries, and receive and distribute notices for Temple members in need. If you are interested in helping out, click here to contact us
Religious Practices
We select prayer books, assist and prepare B'nei Mitzvah candidates, coordinate and arrange for musical leadership at services, and work with the Rabbi and lay leaders on services. If you are interested in helping out, click here to contact us.
Rosh Chodesh
Women of Temple Beth Or meet monthly on Rosh Chodesh (the 'head' of the month) to discuss, examine and promote their role in spirituality and Judaism. Check our calendar for the dates and times of meetings. If you are interested in attending, contact our office.
Social Action
We develop and promote programs that contribute to the greater welfare of our community and the world, such as; selecting worthy recipients for donations from our Tzedakah Box, planning activities that help 'green' our Temple and foster responsible environmental stewardship, participating in programs to reduce poverty and hunger, and participating in activities that promote peace.
