What are Scrip Gift Cards? Scrip Gift Cards are like 'cash' that you can use to purchase groceries, gas, postage, your morning latte, and more! Temple Beth Or purchases the cards at a discount and sells them to you at face value. You pay the same amount for your merchandise that you normally would and the Temple makes a small profit. For example, we buy $25 REI Gift Cards for $23 each. When you buy the card for $25, we earn $2, an 8% profit. Why Should I Sign Up? The Scrip Gift Card Program has the potential to be one of Temple Beth Or's most reliable fundraisers - at no extra cost to our member families, or their families, friends or neighbors. Presently,only 35% of our members participate in this program. Our goal is to expand the Scrip Program to 95% of our membership. We need your help!
Which Retailers Participate? Most grocery stores have certicates or gift cards, and they are listed on the downloadable order form below. There is also a downloadable list of all available retailers.
Albertson's does not have cash cards, but they contribute to us through their Community Partner Program. You can use your regular Albertsons shopping card and register as a Community Partner here - just login with your card ID and phone number (your card ID appears on your shopping receipt), then specify Temple Beth Or (#49000120666) as your 'Partner'. Your purchases will be automatically recorded and Albertsons will send a donation to Beth Or. If you have not already done so, you now need to re-register your card with Albertsons. We have experienced a steep decline in revenue from Albertsons because many of our members have not re-registered. How do I Order Scrip Gift Cards? Download and fill out the order form below, then mail, email, or drop off the form to the Temple office. You may also sign up for our automatic monthly re-order program, and you scrip will be mailed to your home. This plan is the most beneficial to you and the Temple.
What other retailer gift cards can I order? About every 3 months, we place an order with the Great Lakes Scrip Center. We can order just about any kind of retail gift card that you may desire. These are great to use for gifts, business travel, or a special vacation! Browse the online retailer list or download the list below, and then email us with your special order.
How do I pay for my order? We are sorry, but you cannot buy Gift Cards with your credit card. Credit Card companies charge us a transaction fee that offsets most of the small profit that we earn from each Gift Card purchase. We will mail you an invoice along with your scrip order; just return the invoice with your personal check by the first of the next month. You can also use your bank's "Bill Payer" services to make payments from your checking account.
